Dear James, thank you for this lovely class. I really enjoyed the process and I loved drawing with you. 

I understood how thumbnail can help me to choose the viewpoint of composition, but above all I understood HOW to use shade and shadow. Thumbnails are fantastic!!!! Now I see what you mean.

 

 

After the thumbnail I did a quick line sketch to prepare the framework for colour. And then I just followed you, step by step. All your suggestions have been very helpful.

 

 

In the next days I’ll try to go out, walk in my town "Trento" and draw thumbnails (using tombow pen... I only have n. 25 and n. 65 and I'm going to buy n. 95 and n. 45). Then I’ll try to develop one of the thumbnail into a larger sketch. Let's see what happen!

I can say that I have started looking at the the world in term of light, shade and shadow. Today I was walking in a small village on a lake and I was really looking for shade and shadow!!!!
