To encourage creative inner travellers (my Ikigai)

To encourage creative inner travellers (my Ikigai) - student project

Thank you for this insightful class, Tim! I enjoyed watching and listening and although at first I t hought about 'to create', 'to solve problems' pretty soon came To Encourage.

Perhaps this is even enough, but for clarity, I believe it may be better to add who I aim to encourage particularly. Being on an inward path myself and being an expressive creator, these words hit home for me.

My business name has been Zie Binnenzijde (Dutch for See Inwards or Look Inside) for a long time and it still fits so well. I used to be a portrait photographer mainly for a long time, but as I too have entered the mentor stage of my life I've started doing more and more with photography, and other forms of creative expression, as a tool instead of a goal.

For my more recent projects, I have started using the term Inner Journeys and I began calling myself a guide for inner journeys.

While I was watching your class, the verb to encourage popped up and made me tingle inside. I love it because I realize it comes from 'heart'. I try to put heart in everything I do, like my own classes here on Skillshare and my work with elderly people with a form of dementia.

I'm not always succeeding, but I can imagine how having the name for my ikegai might help me.

Thanks again and see you around. Here and in the teach corps group.
