Time, Line and a Broken Aperture

In this final project, I tried to use Line, Time, and Contrast.

Contrast was achieved with the yellow moon against the indigo sky (the shimmer of the moon was achieved with a blend of indigo and white and layered with a soft brush).

Line was used in the smooth wind effects and the jagged trees.

Time was inspired by Van Gogh's 'The Potato Eaters', where is required for the eye to adjust the light level in the painting. I tried to achieve a small amount of that in this painting, with the mono-chrome effect.

The broken aperture was inspired by a friend in my art class - 'you can break one rule, once'.
