As Cloud took in the murky emptiness surrounding him and pondered on his next course of action, the voice of doubt within his head, a mortal enemy since childhood, whispered “You know you’re going to die in this place, right?”. It always haunted him in do-or-die scenarios, gnawing at his mind with unrelenting viciousness, like a ravenous wolf devouring its prey. Its power was crippling. If Cloud had to be honest with himself, a part of him wondered “…maybe you’re right. Maybe I should just give up and accept my fate…”.
