I was watching this class while breastfeeding my baby... And somehow watching one of Rebecca's suggestions on box stash combos which listed watercolour pencils this idea just clicked in my head - to use the beautiful box of 72 Derwent watercolour pencils more often. 

 

My supplies:

- a limited palette of two or three of my 72 Derwent watercolour pencils

- Current pencil colours: Imperial purple 23, Indigo 36, Sepia 53

- the notebook I bought today (with the idea to have it as a backup when the current one got full - oh well, let's just start using it now)

- an aquabrush that was lying around, never used (I already have a few in my travel set but this one was being ignored)

- Some paper towel, just in case

- Some printed images I had on hand for inspiration (with the idea to print more as soon as my printer is fix)

- A fineliner for fine details

 

The idea is to play with a combination of colours and textures, wetting parts of the sketch and leaving some as is, then add last details with the pen. Going to go do that now, can't wait! :)
