The Last Glimmer of Magic

Thanks for the great course - I really learned a lot and was very inspired to get started.
I had some trouble keeping the different paragraphs short, but I will keep working on them, as there are a lot of details missing. It was very nice to use this template to identify missing points and get a better picture of the plot and storyline.
Logline
Kim, a young woman who has never let go of her belief in magic, begins to notice strange occurrences that others dismiss. When she uncovers a hidden magical layer interwoven with the real world, she learns that it is being slowly drained by a powerful businessman who once saw magic but now seeks to control it. As she fights to protect the unseen wonders around her, Kim must also confront her own doubts about growing up and whether magic truly has a place in the adult world.
Roadmap
Stasis: Kim, now in her twenties, is struggling with the weight of adulthood. Life feels mundane—work is uninspiring, friendships have changed, and she often feels like she’s falling behind compared to others who have embraced "grown-up" life. But she still sees things that don’t quite make sense—objects disappearing for a split second, shadows moving against the light, books rearranging themselves when no one is looking. She’s always dismissed them as tricks of the mind… until now.
Catalyst: A chance encounter—maybe a stranger giving her a cryptic warning, or an accidental discovery (e.g., finding an old map, a key, or an object that reacts to her touch)—confirms her suspicions: there is something hidden in plain sight, a layer of the world that most people can no longer perceive.
Debate: At first, Kim doubts herself. Has she been holding onto childhood fantasies for too long? But the evidence keeps mounting—she starts noticing more anomalies, and eventually, someone (perhaps a guardian of this magic) reaches out to her. They tell her that she is one of the few who can still see magic, and that this hidden layer is in danger. If no one stops what’s happening, magic as she knows it will disappear.
Break into 2: Kim immerses herself in this hidden world, learning its rules and its delicate balance with reality. Magic exists everywhere—woven into the cracks of the city, hidden in forgotten places, in the way nature reclaims abandoned buildings, or how certain people seem to carry an unexplainable spark. But it is fading. She discovers that someone is siphoning it away, making magic weaker with each passing day.
Midpoint: Kim learns that the one behind this is Elias—a man who, like her, once saw magic but abandoned it when he grew older. Now, as a wealthy and powerful businessman, he is using his influence to extract and control magic, repurposing it for his own gain (e.g., enhancing technology, selling experiences, or using it to manipulate reality for profit). He believes he is protecting it, claiming that if magic isn’t controlled, it will disappear on its own. His words shake Kim—what if he’s right? What if belief alone isn’t enough?
Low Point: Kim’s faith wavers. She wonders if she’s been naive to think she could save something so fragile. She sees magic disappearing faster, and those who trusted her begin to lose hope. Elias offers her a role in his vision—telling her she can preserve magic, but only if she accepts his way.
Break into 3: A pivotal moment restores Kim’s resolve. Perhaps she witnesses something that proves magic isn’t dying—it’s being suppressed. Or she meets a child who unknowingly interacts with the hidden world, proving that wonder still exists naturally. Realizing that Elias’ way isn’t saving magic but suffocating it, Kim decides to fight back.
Climax: Kim confronts Elias, not in a battle of force, but in a battle of belief. She shows him the truth: that magic thrives in freedom, in the unseen moments, in the spaces people overlook. By trying to control it, he has only weakened it. In a moment of clarity, Elias sees what he has become—a man who once believed, now trying to cage the very thing that made him different. He lets go of his grip on magic, and it begins to flow freely again.
Denouement: Magic, though still hidden, is no longer fading. Kim returns to her life, forever changed. She understands now that magic isn’t something you outgrow—it’s something you choose to see. As she walks through the city, she smiles at small, inexplicable wonders, knowing that magic will always be there for those willing to believe.
