The Heart of A Flower

The Heart of A Flower - student project

Here is my small Fashion illustration creative journey. I wanted to use negative space of stationary paper and chose a deep red color. As a contrasting hue, I used white and blue to add a vintage feel.

I love the texture of the paper, and surprisingly it almost feels like canvas.

Then I used the real paper masking to create a warm coat texture using paint and an old toothbrush. It’s really cold here so I wanted the coat to look very warm)

My cutting knife is extremely old, but it was enough to create the coat shape and protect the rest of the image. During the process, I covered with paint lots of things anyway (( But that’s the feeling of real art practice hehe)

A-a-and finally the digital watercolor technique. My big plan is to print the image on watercolor paper and to frame it. Of course, I’ll be using Passepartout as a special touch.
