The G Major Scale Project

The G Major Scale Project - student project

The G major scale project is for you to play the G major scale in all 5 positions going up the neck. You start with position 1 the third fret and then play position 2, position, 3, etc. going in order up the neck until you come to position 1 again up an octave.

I just added 2 PDFs to this course that will greatly help you with this project. They are in the section called "Your Project". You'll want to look in the PDF called "Basic Scales a study of the Ionian and Aeolian Scales. In the PDF you'll be able to find a chart of the G major scale all over the neck.

Please let me know if you think it would be helpful if I posted a video of me playing this project.

How do you complete the project?

You post a link to a YouTube video of you playing all 5 G major scale positions. It doesn't have to be to YouTube, you can paste a link to an site hosting your video but YouTube is probably easiest.

If you can't do a video you can post some pictures of you playing the 5 positions and we'll take your word that you completed the project.
