My second piece using hot pressed and am liking it; no nasty surprises there. I like the look of this piece from 2 ft away but close up I think you can see some brush strokes (I feel brushstrokes look good in acrylic but less so in watercolor) in the checkerboard cookie so I changed to a bigger brush later on to give it a more fluid look.

I actually mixed up the mountains and valleys in the spritz cookie because my eyes were on the video but my brush was in my hand. Note to self to look at the reference photo for the big picture. I made that same mistake in the honey jar project on the folds of the fabric of the jar.
