Terrazzo

Hi Rich - thanks for a fantastic class - I love the energy and enthusiasm you bring to the lessons, very inspirational!

For my project I decided to try and use a generative design application called Nodebox. This allowed me to build the pattern with adjustable nodes which meant I could add randomness to key parameters such as the distribution of the terrazzo blocks, theirs shape, size and rotation.

Here is a screenshot of my Nodebox setup. By playing around with the parameters I can create an infinite number of pattern variation.

Once I was happy with my terrazzo, I bought it into illustrator to colour.

I used Adobe Dimension to create packaging mockups. I hadn't used Dimension before so I took a couple of Skillsshare classes to pick up the basics.

I had an idea to try and use the terrazzo pattern as a basis for a skincare brand and mocked up some branding and packaging concepts.

Thanks again for a really enjoyable and rewarding class!
