Idea

After brainstorming I came up with the idea of making 4 members for a fictional band 'THE SHAPES'. Each character would have his own unique shape, instrument, emotion and colour.

Here are my quick sketches to flesh out the idea. I tried to make shapes and colours that would match each character's emotion.

References and Inspiration

I scoured the internet for images with colour palettes that appealed to me. I brought them all together in Illustrator and started to look at how they were created.

From my reference and initial sketches I built my base palette. Here's how they tested.

And here is the expanded version with tints, shades and neutrals.
