TEACHER PROJECT: My (original) Love Letters
As stated in the Inspiration Video (video #2) in this class, a friend challenged me to write a post on Google Plus each day using as many words with one letter of the alphabet.
One letter per day... creating a 26 day writing challenge.
There was no word count. No rules other than to see if I would actually do it for every single letter of the alphabet. And no prompts. Just a letter and my imagination.
I let my followers know what I was doing and by the time I got to letter D, I had company… others who were trying their hand at this game.
It isn’t as easy as it sounds and there were days I wanted to skip due to the degree of letter difficulty.
Below are my favorites from the original challenge. Hopefully, they will give you ideas for completing your project for this class :)
MY (original) LOVE LETTERS
D
Gone are the dark days...
Dank, dreary, and desolate...
Dripping with despair.
When love deserted me Leaving me depressed and desperate...
Devoid of all hope...
They say it is always darkest before the dawn...
Daybreak is on the horizon.
F
If she would only free herself from that false sense of fear and her fractured past,
she would see herself the way he sees her…
faultless, flawless, flirtatious, and fucking fabulous.
G
Oh, the great lengths I have gone.
Stretched my graciousness and generosity beyond their limits.
I must be genetically gifted to withstand being ground into gravel with every gesture.
A glutton for punishment, perhaps?
Maybe…on a mission from God.
I
My desire to stay focused... intense.
My coffee consumption... insane.
My thoughts... inconsistent... as they switch from professional to personal pursuits... and then back again.
My interaction in the social space has been insufficient as of late...
And for a while, I may be incognito...
Until I return... inspired
P
My past participation in this word challenge would make you think I was a poet with all of my prolific puffy prose. Not in the least. But this has been great practice and has pumped up my creative energy. Your responses to the pieces I present has had a profound impact on me. I appreciate your presence.
Q
It was quite questionable if I was going to be able to deal with Q.
It's a quirky little letter that seems to be a match for my usual quick wit.
I may be in a bit of a quandary... but I'm no quitter.
I think what I wrote qualifies as a suitable entry in this challenge.
What do you think?
S
Like a sultry, seductive, sexy song.
His voice soothing… satisfying.
That's what it sounds like when he says: "you are so beautiful to me."
I savor every single second
V
The space you once occupied within me is now vacant.
All traces of you vanished with your vile words.
I voluntarily fell under your spell.
But like a true villain, you played on that vulnerability.
Behind that vibrant, virtuous mask is a vicious viper with a velvet tongue.
Your vanity betrays your virtue.
No longer will I be filled with your venom cleverly disguised as love.
W
His words woo me...
Whispering his intentions from the page I just read.
Written in that way to make my mind wildly wonder about his wandering hands...
Warm… and wicked.
He knows just what to write to make me weak… and willing.
Waves of emotion wash over me...
With every line, I want more.
Well… I'm waiting…

X means…
