Swirly Swirly, Sniffy Sniff
My siblings and I all sat down to try our hand at wine tasting. We ordered the skillshare wine set that Gary recommended.
V8 Prosecco (pictured above)
Initial sniff notes:
- Almonds
- New shoe smell
tasting notes:
- first tasted like pop-rocks
- chocolate on the mid-palette
- then a nice celery finish (probably influenced by the name "V8"...)

2014 Sancerre
Tasting notes:
- "it smells like a nice, clean bathroom. That's not a bad thing."
- oregano
- celery
- lemon
- definite mid palette bite
- wild onions

Maipe 2013 Cabernet Savingon
Sniff:
- Pepper
- Wood cabinets
- rubbing alcohol
- chopped walnuts
- a rusty boat at sea
- plums
- chocolate
- cherry lifesavers
Tasting notes:
- pepper
- chocolate
- waxy candy pop bottles
- cigar
- strawberry
- charcoal
- tongue feels hairy
The notes may not sound like it, but we really had a lot of fun doing this! We all came away excited to try more wines. Overall our favorite was the Sancerre, although the Cabernet Savingon came in at a close second. We definitely had the most fun with the tasting notes on that one!
