Sunny Day Botanicals in Watercolors

Sunny Day Botanicals in Watercolors - student project

This class is lovely, I was looking to learn something like this, thanks Katya for being such an amazing and thorough teacher thought your lessons. This project was challenging, I found it difficult to work with 3 layers of water, because when I applied the paint it would make like lumps of paint. But I tried, made few attempts and I really enjoyed the process. This is my final result, I've used:
- Cason Cold Press Watercolor Paper 300 g cellulose.
- Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolors: Cadmium Yellow, Prusian Bue and Alisarin Crimson.
- A round Winsor & Newton Kolinsky Sable Series 7 n3 brush, a round synthetic n6 and a synthetic fine liner n0.

Also, I wanted to try this technique in another type of botanicals and I used some reference photos I had from roses. All these elements served me as well to create a pattern. Hope you like it! :)

Thank you Katya once again. I have two questions, I would like to know, how much time did it take you to create this piece? How much time do you dedicate a day on painting?

Best!
Cristina
