I painted this from my photo taken at Castlerock State Park in Idaho. I used a spatula to paint detailed rocks in the distance as they just didn't look very good as tan blobs. Also when I finished the painting and took off the tape I realized my horizon line was not straight. I corrected this picture with a photo editing program but I will still try to correct it on the painting. I am also thinking about darkening or eliminating the rock formation on top of the mountain as it is distracting.  I enjoyed this class very much and will watch it again as i try another version of this  landscape.
