In this image, the time was about 10am and the sun was directly behind me; I used a monpod, kneeling on the sand. I chose th birds as my subject but hopeing for well light warm waves in the background refecting the sun.  I tried to line up the bird in the back using the rule of thirds, and was satisfied with the warmth and color of the scene.
