Still need more practice but love my first book
Many years ago I’ve purchased Strathmore Laid Cover Bristol paper just because I loved the touch of it and the look. I have it in Ivory and Natural white. It has tiny "laid" lines inside and it is very substantial. Beautiful paper!
I never understood what to do with it beside admiring it and feeling delighted visually and aesthetically.
Until today.
My very first book doesn’t aim for perfection. I used one Faux leather Placemat to cut something that looks like a cover. I know it is not heavy enough but it is ideal for start.
I am so excited with my new book! I didn’t expect this beautiful paper to take watercolor paint but apparently you just need to start and the process will follow.
Even if I have good quality watercolor paper in sheets and I am planing to make real and strong books from it, I will treasure my first journal most as it melted my fear away and made me proud and happy!
Thank you Chris! Such a priceless knowledge!!
As usually you come and magically change my paradigm and everything becomes so clear and easy!
