Christine, you did a fantastic job with this watercolor still life! Your wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques look beautiful, and you’ve created a very convincing sense of form with a strong range of lights, midtones, and darks throughout the sneakers.The white areas (laces and plastic) as well as the black sections are handled especially well, which we know can be quite tricky in watercolor. I can also tell the masking fluid was applied thoughtfully and with intention.The vignette-style background and those bright yellow blooms complement the sneakers wonderfully and give the whole piece a lively, expressive feel. You should feel really proud of this one. Thank you so much for taking the course and for sharing your work with us!
