Still Life Alive

Still Life Alive - student project

After watching the class, I quickly realized that due to lack of equipment, I wouldn't do all the lessons. But as they say, necessity is the mother of invention — so to keep the excitement alive for me, I combined my selection in a still life.

The sketch for it lay in front of me for weeks. Despite a gifted free tea (pomegranate!) I unexpectedly got delivered, which I took as a positive sign, doubts started creeping in, questioning whether I would even come close to making it.

It's hard to pick up projects that have been started such a long time ago. But now, it finally happened. It went pretty well and I finished nearly everything in one go. Except for the background that I actually wanted to create at the beginning *rolling eyes*, as well as the shadows and highlights.

Overall, I am very satisfied and very happy that I participated and finally pushed through. Anna gave us a truly varied class. It's always good to review the basics, even if you already should know them. ;)
One point for further consideration: I would have preferred to have always original photos alongside Anna's interpretations, as improving mastery of 3D techniques for me ideally requires real objects or photos of those.

Thanks again to Anna for an amazing class.
