Watercolour Landscape with Figures Painting: Spring Bluebells in the Woodland

This is lovely, I really like the distant trees and that beautiful peachy yellow light. The reflections and rainy road are so we done.  What has happen to your hand? You are injured?

Hi Christine - I'm delighted you enjoyed this class so much, and it shows in your beautifully finished painting. Some lovely rendering of the figures, especially the child. The scourer technique has worked really well for your bluebells, they are bursting with life and energy. I particularly like the way you've painted the distant trees, it gives the scene a great sense of depth and an air of mystery as to what is around the corner. It's fabulous just as it is, but my teeny tiny suggestions would be to take a clean damp brush and just soften and lighten the pointed ends of the dark brown soil shapes on the left side of the path so they blend into the wet path a bit more. A great  class from Carrie with  many techniques and tricks...including a scourer for  cleaning pots 😁....l find its like Carrie is sitting  nxt you when  painting along...like an old friend...highly recommend this class...many thanks  Carrie 😊
