Using the Symbol Symmetry process I taught in class to create this homage to one of my favorite summer insects... the firefly.

A little paper moth using my own handmade paper textures and florals.

A poppy moth, created with flowers I had illustrated in Designer for another illustration and decided to pop in here. Background elements are given away in the class. :)

So many bugs... so little time. - image 5 - student projectI could honestly create these every day so I am so happy to share my process with everyone so you can have fun with these whimsical creatures too. Can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

This is the one I created as part of the class. I liked that it started to take on an underwater feel and I wanted to run with it. It’s part of the fun of illustrating... running with wherever your imagination takes you.

The illustration from the time-lapse at the end of the class. I have no idea where the  Fourth of July, Fireworks, Harvest theme came from but I enjoyed it!

Happy creating everyone!!
