It was refreshing to paint without having to pre-draw a design or learn a special technique for the class. A couple of things I learned. I had poor quality paper that buckled when wet and didn't absorb the color well - this made painting difficult. I like the sky color in the first painting, but my gouache starts are too big and uniform in size. I think I need to use less water with the guache and splatter from further away. I like the turquoise green with indigo in the second painting, and I struggled with the third painting getting the green color and the blending. I want to try more landscapes like this one.
