Serendipity

I , Manas Kumar Mohapatra, MS, a wannabe writer turned engineer was given an opportunity to interview with Ms/Mrs Sailaja Velpula, daughter of an AG office veteran for the position of Azure Devops engineer in Infosys.

Sailaja had great optimism on my work and appreciated my fit for two roles and finally upon my insistance agreed to a devops developer team role.Coincidentally she was a third generation odia to have telugu roots and who more than fluently spoke odia. Coincidentally also she also has a uncle that stays in his home state. And thus starts our journey.(By the way, make note that Sailaja, being the manager likes to take a decision call by herself and she likes people to understand that their visions might not always be where the project ends up going but that shouldn't restrict them from being vocal about their inputs.)

Sailaja communicated that project is a work from home project as was intended in the email of the job opportunity being presented by Saurabh.
After consecutive talks , it was chanced upon by Sailaja that most of her team members work from office while she works from home on personal grounds.
Before the receipt of laptop, I could fill BGV forms for project AMD that would run until 2023(upon renewal) as stated by Sailaja. So I assumed I am already in a project only to find in a later context that I am yet to be assigned a project. That ended up rather disappointing.
With the assignments I get, sometimes I wish I would just be failed writer than a lousy engineer.
