Scooby-Doo Parallax Effect Project

Scooby-Doo Parallax Effect Project - student project

This is my attempt at the parallax project animation using procreate and procreate dreams. I don’t have the version with lens blur however I do have Gaussian blur which essentially has the same effect. I decided to do the Scooby Doo van in a dessert with the sheriff waving them goodbye after a successful monster hunting adventure. I didn’t do the key frames with the sheriff character but rather made 4 frames of him waving in procreate then copied and pasted them across the timeline moving him across the frame. Other than that though I followed the tutorial pretty closely I think. I used the ease in and out to make it look like the van sped up after it passed the sheriff. Thankfully I also remembered how to group the items to make looping easier. I looped it three times to make the short video a tad longer. I’m also quite proud to say that although I used references for the van and sheriff (facing forward not with his back to you as I wasn’t able to find that image anyway) I did not trace the images. Just a personal moment of pride. I also decided to create a tinted window with a group silhouette of the Scooby gang rather than draw them in detail.
