Sample Projects #1, #2, #3
Here's a painting I did using circle stencils and pre-drawn curved lines to define some shape edges before painting. Then I went back into the painting and inked those edges as well as some freeform painted edges that appeared and also added some areas of high contrast.
Here's another painting I did where I drew angled pencil lines to create an illusion of the center spiraling inward and then used wet-on-wet to paint it with a warm color scheme. Then I went in and inked along the line and watercolor edges to add a contrast between the ink work and the painted surface.
Then this third example is one that I originally created while developing this class. I utilized the plastic wrap technique into my wet painted surface. Then after it was draw I started letting the painting guide me as to how I incorporated ink work both in the painted and unpainted areas. I'm so happy with how this turned out.
