Sample Project! :)

Sample Project! :) - student project

Hii guys!! I wanted to share how I've been working on the 3 building blocks outside the class.

If you want to see how my 7-day project turned out you can see me do a flip-through in lesson 14.

Here's a fun & quick observational life study of a vintage teacup and teapot! The teacup shapes ended up a little wonky but it was fun studying it in 3-D! I need to do more life studies lol.

Here's some bird observation/stylization/memorization. Birds are one of my fav things to draw for sure. Some turn out better than others.

Remember: It's not about results, just practice!!

I've been doing lots of stylization/play with loose landscapes (my latest obsession.) I looooveee to do these so I'm just following my joy! :) Don't feel pressure to work with color or supplies other than a pencil but DO try new things if you enjoy color or certain supplies. The more you play with them, the faster you master them! :)

Here's some style play done in 2 ways for a similar idea:

Here are some more stylized landscape works in progress:

Reflecting back, I need to work on observation and memorization so I was thinking of doing another 7-day challenge just on those two skills. I find that if I don't force myself to draw from life, I rarely do it. But it's so important, it's like taking your drawing vitamins. I definitely feel less rusty since the challenge. So yay to doing it again! :)

I can't wait to see what you guys make!!! :) Remember, you can share as much (or as little) as you're comfortable with!

Stay awesome! :)))
