So here's my sample project for this class. I'll be adding more of these if I have the time :) 

First, a simple wreath with one botanical design. I tried to create gradients inside some of the leaves, and I also painted both light and dark leaves to create more contrast. 

Pro tip : Draw all the leaves with one shade first; let it dry, then draw the rest with another shade. I started by drawing the light leaves, let them dry and then added a second layer of leaves with a darker shade.

And here are some more complex wreaths, with a few of my favorite botanical designs from my cheat sheet. As you can see, using multiple designs doesn't always mean a busy illustration. Depending on your personal preference you can create something minimalistic with just a few designs, or something more intricate.
