I played around with Illustrator a year or so ago, wanted to get back into it and thought this would be a fun little project to really focus on basic shapes and the tools that Illustrator has available, rather than on drawing from scratch 'by hand'.

The fact that I ended up making 9 things rather than 4 indicates just how much fun I was having. I took your instructions of 'go crazy' to heart; hence the peel around the orange; and the top down to side-on view transition for the cake (I really love how the deocartion in the middle fits seamlessly into both views).

I also experimented with trying to make something a bit more stylised/abstract with the spaghetti on the bottom; but then a friend said they would have never guessed what that was supposed to be.. so maybe I overdid it.

Great class for some inspiration; short and sweet :)
