Design a Monochromatic Brick Pattern

Hi JennyI’m glad you enjoyed the class, and thank you for posting your beautiful results. Your bird is well proportioned and the layout of the leaves is naturalistic with a sense of balance and formality that comes from using the grid. Each of the elements in your design stand on there own, or can be developed further to create new designs, e.g., creating a halfdrop pattern with just the leaves, creating a standalone pattern with the birds, etc. Incorporating your local flora and fauna as sources of inspiration is a wonderful idea and creates a unique point of difference.

I created a brick monochrome pattern, trying to adapt the bird and floral elements to local&nbsp;species&nbsp;in Africa where I live - a scrub robin and flame lily.&nbsp;&nbsp;
