Before transferring sketch, I realized I needed to make some changes so that thing connected better.

I decided to flip my image so I would cut on the back to  hide pencil marks.

Started with the larger shapes as Tanya suggested which was helpful.

Fun to see things take shape, but next time I would use a much larger piece of paper to get into tight areas more easily.

Put the detail in last. Would have liked to do some textural effects that Tanya demonstrated, but piece was a bit too fragile.

Had lots of fun trying different colored backgrounds!

I used the illustration in a poster format.  The title is scanned cut paper.
