Recreation of Women's Fitted Tee with Longer Hemline
My name is Christy and I have a handmade clothing line called Deco Tease. I am completely self taught and really only know the basics. I never learned the correct/technical way to create a pattern, so I decided that a class on pattern making for the basic tee would be a great way to gain knowledge from the ground up.
Below is my techinical sketch of an existing fitted tee. It has a crewneck with rib knit attached at collar, short fitted sleeves, and a longer hemline with self fabric turn back with 1/8" double needle topstitching. I hope to upload a version on a croquis as well.
Below is my Women's Basic Fitted Tshirt Spec Sheet
Below is my pattern. I had a little trouble keeping things straight and lined up because I didn't have a grid on my paper, but I plan to double check the eveness by folding my pattern in half and making any needed adjustments. I also had minor issues with the curved lines as my plastic hip curve ruler broke in pieces (I didn't curve the waist area and I'm not sure if it is necessary for my shirt, any feedback would be appreciated).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I really liked the class and look forward to more pattern/sewing/fashion design courses in the (hopefully near) future. Thank you Hyden & Patty!!!
Thanks!
