Recipe for sambal (chilli sauce)

I had saved this course, but hadn't decided when to watch it or what I was going to do with it. Having just watched my partner making sambal in our brand new kitchen I knew what to do!
I live in Indonesia with my Indonesian partner and sambal is served with almost every dish here, so it seemed like a solid choice. It is simply the fresh ingredients in the recipe blended using a version of a pestle and mortar (a 'cobek').
This was the first time I really looked for inspiration for compositions etc in pintrest after following the course and found one in a similar style that I was drawn to. I also rarely use procreate as I prefer pen and paper, but it really leant itself to trying something new like this and easily being to modify the image until I was happy with it.
I definitely want to try the same recipe in a different style too. We need some artwork for the new kitchen and it makes sense to create it myself, so thank you Mary for the course :-)
