Hi everyone,

Here’s my ramen soup illustration with some process shots. My initial intention was to create with more muted palette, and that’s where the pale green background came from. BUT as work flowed onward, as it so often does, I felt that I wasn’t connecting with that first color palette… therefore I changed the background color to blue and picked bright saturated palette for the soup bowl. This color combination felt right and I was happy with the entire illustration appearance and the direction it was taking.
