Torn Paper Collage Background or Abstract Artwork

I love this and am starting a stack of collage paper as we speak! As in, "I'm using up all the leftover paint." Plus lots of textures and interesting bits.  Will be taking this class soon :)

Pretty! Are you seeing this as a class? If so, I bet you can already see a few directions for it. Judy — PS Only thing I ever didn’t enjoy from any class was working with tissue since it’s so sticky and colors bleed on my fingers then mess up the other colors. Any tips to do better with tissue?

Thanks, Judy! These are all painted papers, mostly painted with watercolor and a few with acrylic and ink. Those papers are much easier to collage than tissue paper. I used this as a background for a St. Patrick's Day artwork, which I share in the optional extra video in this class. I want to do more though with various color schemes beyond a rainbow. I also liked that when horizontal this reminded me of a sunset landscape.

I love creating art this way. It's so easy and relaxing, and the results are beautiful!
