Raglan Sweater

Raglan Sweater - student project

Raglan Sweater - image 1 - student project

Using yarn from Søstrene Grene in light green, light yellow and teal.

Gauge after blocking on 6mm needles: 16.5st x 23r over 10cm (before blocking it was 19st x 23r).

UPDATE

I finished with the sweater over a week ago, but it took a long time to dry...

I'm very happy with the result.  Will go through my yarn stash and probably do another one.

I've been knitting for years, but mostly hats, socks, scarfs, etc.  The occasional jumper, but never did a raglan.  Too intimidating.  And I learned a lot from this class.  I never blocked a gauge sample (never saw the need, now I understand) and also the underarm gap fix is a great thing to know.

As for the stripes on my jumper, I switched over yarn under the arm rather than in the front where the actual round starts.  I used the method suggested in the posted YouTube video (another thing I didn't know).

All in all this was a great course.  I wish you would post more jumpers to knit.

How would you go about adjusting the pattern for a different yarn weight, Worsted for example on 4mm?
