I didn't know anything about blenders until I watched your class. BUT, since I didn't want to buy any art supplies that I might use just once, I tried lavender oil as a blender and it worked perfectly with my Polychromos (Faber Castell). There is no oily residue after it is dry and has evaporated. As it smells very strongly it works best with a cold and a stuffy nose ;-)
