Thank you so much for teaching this class! This kind of pattern *seems* like it should be simple to create, but you included a number of important steps that I would not have been able to work out on my own. I now have a base pattern that I am sure I will be using again. I have two suggestions for things your other students might find it useful to know: I have used AI extensively, so when I saw that despite following your steps, my pattern did not line up perfectly, I knew to: 1) switch to outline mode (command Y) to pinpoint the misalignment. 2) In the Transform panel, deselect "Align to pixel grid". Taking these steps seemed to help with aligning everything perfectly. For my palette, I went to the Pantone website and used one of their suggested palettes featuring Living Coral, the color of the year (2019). I would definitely like this as a bag to use, so creating a mockup was really fun :-)
