Pacific Calm Logo

I already tried this project when I was doing Lindsay's Logo Design Mastery class but never finished it (it didn't look good on dark background). This was my previous attempt using Golden Ratio, as shown in that class.

In my second attempt I tried to use word mapping and drew some sketches, and came up with these concepts for a symbol.

Eventually I decided to use an abstract shape of a person in a drop of water. It's supposed to represent physical activity, which goes well with their slogan of Love Yourself Healthy.

I had an issue with exporting vector files into InDesign. I tried bringing in the logo in pdf, psd, ai and svg formats, yet it still looked terrible! Turns out, if you go to Edit (on Windows) > Preferences > Display Performance, you can adjust the view settings for images and vector graphics. Just thought I'd share this for anyone having a similar issue.
