Project 1-3

These 3 projects are unrelated and will not be part of the same setting/world. Project 1 and 3 are both characters for a traditional fantasy setting, whereas Project 2 is set in an 80's style modern world with supernatural happenings.

Project 1: Create a protagonist

Tryg wiped the blood from her lip. Her head was ringing and everything around her felt as though it was vibrating. She stood upright and turned to face her opponent. She'd faced tougher fighters than this before.

Spitting a mouthful of blood onto the straw below her feet, she raised her fists, preparing to throw the next punch. A small smile touched her opponents lips.

'That's right' Tryg thought. 'Get cocky'. Her opponent threw a wild swing and Tryg dodged just in time, feeling the air whip past her as the fist flew wide and her opponent stumbled past her. Seizing her opportunity, she threw her elbow backwards, landing a swift blow to her opponent's spine. Turning round, she raised her boot and kicked the girl to the ground, her head hitting the wood panelled fence surrounding them.

The crowd went silent before erupting in cheers. Money was swiftly passed between the punters and without looking back at the unconscious body behind her, Tryg headed toward the gate, collecting her winnings as she wiped a towel over her bloody face.

Project 2: Describe an ominous scene

It was a quiet night. There was no wind, nothing crawled through the dry grass. The silence made the creaking of the heavy barn door that much more unsettling. The young boy approached cautiously. He was beginning to wonder if this dare was worth the reward of getting to listen to his brother’s new portable cassette player. He hadn’t wanted to seem afraid in front of his brother’s friends. The truth was that he was afraid. He’d always been afraid of this barn. Something about it sent chills down his spine and he could never quite put his finger on why that was. He turned around. The teenagers were all still stood back under the streetlight. He knew that he would never live it down if he backed out of the dare now. As he got closer, the creaking grew louder. The whole barn seemed to groan as he approached. ‘Just touch the door’ he thought to himself. ‘You only have to touch the door and then you can go’. As he reached his hand out towards the rotting wood of the barn door, he heard a sound that made his entire body freeze.

  • Needs a motive:

    • Steals children from the mortal world while they are sleeping
