Thanks Chris for this opportunity to get back into watercolors! Having said that, I did use ink along with my watercolors, to draw the fine lines. I used a fountain pen, which is my current go-to. I also used some white gouache for the waves. 

For the postcards I have some ready-to-use watercolor postcards from Hahnemuehle, pretty good paper even if not 100% cotton. 

This year was a staycation instead of the usual overseas travel. So here is a painting of my local beach (Panama City Beach, Florida). Where we go when we need a day out, and if we only have one day.

After completing my postcard, I added the people on the beach, and some (vague) greenery: 

Hopefully it is better with the (idea of) added people, let me know your thoughts! I am not convinced it was a good choice.
