Hi Sharon,We can't improve if we don't struggle. Just the fact that you struggle means that you are on the good path. I know that sounds like a cliché, but nevertheless it's true. We've all been through it, still are. Still, the joy of overcoming struggles is the greatest reward. Just need to power through it, and I'll be here if you need my help.  Now to the latest update. Thank you for sending new works. Asaro head model will be of great help for your next step. Hi Sharon, this is a great starting point! A good number of exercises and a final piece.  I would now recommend you try two more portraits. One from the profile and another one, a 3/4 view. For these, try to find someone to pose for you, or, if it's easier, use a reference image you can take with your phone, or find one online.  After that, I'll give you feedback and propose the next step.  Keep up the good work and happy drawing.

Hi Sharon, Once again, thanks for updating the project. It shows your willingness to improve and just how much you love drawing.  This is quite a good 3/4 portrait, but there are always areas to improve. First of all, the hair. I know that sometimes you might feel that, after all other areas of portrait are made, hair is not that much important. Still, this gives us a chance to step out of our comfort zone and see how we can give shape to something so hard to define.  I would recommend that you first divide it into a few smaller chunks and draw in the direction of the hair's flow.  Next, ears. Here, just like with the hair, simplify the shapes. Take your time, look at reference images, and study those; in no time, you'll get the hang of things. Share your progress with me, and I'll walk you through it.  Eyes are very good. I especially like the line work. When it comes to that, I would like to see you make an entire portrait in that style. Thinner, longer lines following the shape. Good work.  When it comes to the profile, I think it's a good example, but I feel like you could have spent more time in the early stages on measuring and working on proportions. That early stage is crucial when it comes to capturing the character, which you did a great job on 3/4 view. My suggestion is to slow down, give yourself more time to examine the reference, and then start drawing.   So, this is what I propose for your next step. Working with a plain pencil, try to draw hair. Use a reference image, but when drawing, focus on hair and ears. Also, don't blend the strokes. Do it just with shading. Try to get the shapes just with shading. Put on some music, relax, take your time, and then start working. Have fun solving the problems.  Finally, let me know what you think about this feedback.
