I have a room for crafting in my home that is very rarely used because my daughter and I use the dinning room table instead. The dining room table is in an open space connected to our kitchen and our reading area. This open space area is where we spend most of our time in the home. The objects in this area scream multiple functions due to the open layout, but it is so multi-functional that it isn't actually functioning. It is also the same space where our television is located. We often play music on the television while crafting. 

It would make sense for us to swap our reading area and our crafting space so that we can craft in the area we want and have quiet time in a quiet area without distractions. Additional seating along the wall can be added for when guest are in the home and want to watch television.
