A repurposed cotton shift for a Victorian Cosplay 

I needed a nice petticoat to help give volume to my character’s outer skirt - particularly from the knee to floor

This lovely pure cotton shift wasn’t getting used and had some foxing on the bodice. So after a lot of thought, I decided to repurpose it by removing the bodice and altering the lower garment into a drawstring petticoat, utilising the original hem and flounces

I am very happy that I did and it works wonderfully with my character’s outer skirt - I didn’t need to buy anything new: I even had some leftover cotton tape for the drawstring
