Perspective Drawing: Creating Illustrations with Dimension

I have almost literally no critique for you man, these are phenomenal sketches.The street scene is no joke flawless. It's such a fantastic example of three-point perspective --- all three vanishing points are totally bang-on perfect. The scale of all the elements of the scene are all perfectly related. That tall building in the background feels large in comparison to these smaller 2-story shops and homes. The road is believably wide, like this is some greater-developed area within a larger city nearby. The detail of the buildings in the distance are perfect -- you're indicating details without even having to draw them. And last but not least, THAT FORESHORTENING IS PERFECT. The buildings in the distance along the street feel the same general width as the ones closer up to us. High five, dude, that is fantastic.The second image is also very good. Good job at keeping details centered (the bed vs the shelf in the wall above it.) Nice sci-fi architectural space with the angles and such. My only one critque for this one is that you have an Escher-esque thign going on over that main window-alcove-area. Do you see it? The wall to the left of the window angles up, goes overhead, and then connects flatly to the wall on the other side. It looks like the angle is forming an impossible bit of geometry between the right-side wall and the corner where that keypad is. I believe we should technically be able to see just a tiny bit of the recession of the right-side angle where ceiling bit meets the wall bit. I hope this makes sense without having to draw an example hahah. Let me know.Your third pic is a good looking-up shot, good composition between scale differences. The perspective here is technically correct, but I think the architectural details of the temple are falling a bit off-center from each other and not foreshortening properly as they get higher. Remember that foreshortening applies to structures as they get vertically higher (and therefore more distant from us) just as they do on the ground laterally. If you measure the top floor of the temple, it appears nearly the same height in 2D measurement as the bottom floor. The top floor should technically be smaller due to its greater distance from us. I think this is what's created that "flat" feeling. In my honest opinion, you don't need the ground visible in that shot. The compositional intrigue caused by only having the shrine entrance and the building itself is strong to warrant this POV. My one question for you is: are those details surrounding the temple hills/mountains/trees? Or is it a big swirling mass of clouds? Because if (starting at the garker gray bits) it's mountains/trees: good, they should be that. This is fine for the sketch, but you'd really have to push detail on those bits to have them read in scale well. I'd even consider pushing the terrain to come up higher around the temple as most are either build at the foot of / on the sides of mountains.Keep it up dude!

Wow, great job. Really. I love all three of them, allthough something does seem off about the third one. Sorry i cant give a better critique, but keep it up!!

Thanks Donovan. I agree about the last one. I think I picked a bit of difficult thing to draw in perspective. I'm not sure the angle helped me either. :)

HelloI've done three sketches using three point perspective. I've tried to have a go at different angles.1. Street scene: This came out ok.2. Sci-fi bedroom (or something): Wanted to try doing an interior.3. Japanese temple/castle: Having a go at something a bit more complicated.
