HI Carmen. Wonderful paintings. I think you really captured the motion well and I particularly like the detail on the man's face on the right and how his shirt covers a bit of his arm. A few comments to think about:Man on left: There is a bleed of color between his neck and shirt, likely because the neck area wasn't dry enough when you started to paint the shirt. I like how you left a lighter patch where his right arm crosses his shirt, but perhaps a little black from your pen on the underside of his hand would help it stand out a bit more as well as imply a shadow. Lady in middle: The shadows cast by her foot and cane seem to be from different light sources. That it, the cane shadow is going towards the front left of her body while the show shadow is going to the back left of her body. The easiest fix here would be to add a bit of shadow to the shoe to join it up with the cane shadow on the left of her body. Does that make sense? Thanks for feedback Avraham. Not sure about the shadows of woman but to me looks like the photo reference although they are thicker. Is just a practice for me anyway, guess I could have left the shadows off!

I love your shadows. It's something that I have started doing myself after seeing your work! I think the shadows give a nice sense of grounding to the figures.

Angela - We all have to start someplace. I am also embarrassed by my early paintings 🫣 and even now sometimes have epic fails. But I try to focus on enjoying the act of creating art and view every painting as a learning experience. Even with less than par supplies, you emerge with wonderful artwork Carmen!  Great structure on the legs :)

Thanks Diana.  I keep my arches for something I might want to frame or gift. But the cellulose works fine for this.

Watched class then tried to do by looking at reference photos.
