Another class with Carrie!!

I recently saw another classmate post their beautiful project so wanted to give this a try.

 

Somehow mine went quite astray. (My fault, not Carrie's!!)By nature, I guess I default to being more detailed and I had difficulty producing the beautiful looser style.

 

At any rate, the peonies were important to me because we had two beautiful peony bushes in the backyard of my childhood home. We moved in when I was 5, in 1963. My parents continued to live in that house. My dad passed in 1994, and my mom just passed in 2024. In July of this year (2025) I sold the home and had to say goodbye to the beautiful trees, rose bushes, wildflowers and peony bushes on the property. Those peonies (my mom would gather bouquets for the house) are among my earliest memories. 

So I am sorry I did not do the peonies justice, but I will give a try another time!
