Paper Cut Flowers
First of all I would like to apologize for not posting this project earlier, given that I started working on the class project on the day this class was released! It was so exciting to bring my love for paper craft + painting + SPD together!
I went on a rampant of creating at least a hundred paper textures. Which I made sure to scan before starting to cut.
Next, I started building my motifs, these are a few scans -

I had difficulty scanning the elements since I didn't have a dark paper and the shadow would show while I tried to separate the elements in photoshop.
But that was just a roadblock until I tried an idea of printing black ink on the darkest cardstock I owned. (The black background you see in the screen shot above was originally a brown paper)
These are the final pattern I created for this class.

I am still exploring this art technique and would love to make more art in this style.
Lastly, here is a print I made with a mother's day theme in mind -

Thank you Sue for this wonder class I enjoyed every bit of it and I learned a lot!
