Our Gotcha Day, Irving Animal Shelter: Create a Photo Essay

My selfie and photograph story.

I trained Nala to be my service Dog. I took her to work the very next day and she worked with me both in my personal office with clients who can be intimidating at times because they just got out of prison.

She also spent a ten hour day with me including teaching psycho-educational groups to a group of felons, 16 give or take, for two hours each.

This was a diving appointment to see Nala in the photo below after searching for 3 months in hopes to find a dog who could help me with the passing of my 1st service dog, at any time. He did pass 3 months after I got her from the pound pictured above.

I really needed her because I was needing two hip replacement and had to work up my sick time and vacation time to get one hip replacement surgery and then work up more sick and vacation time to get my second hip replacement surgery. I was in tremendous pain and needed her as a redirect for my thoughts to stay in the bounds of, professionalism because I have to work.

This is my precious Nala, also called Fancy Pants and Beauty.

I know longer need to take her to work with me. She wasn't happy about this because we ate together, cheeseburgers but also icecream.

I got us both a puppy. Her muscles were not formed so she was weak and sick when I go her. Our little puppy helped her not feel alone and he also helped her strengthen her leg muscles. She is two years old now and her legs are so much stronger. Not where they should be but so much more than they ever have been.

I love her deeply and we appreciate each other very much.

Blessings,

Renee and Nala
