Hello! First, thank you for this very helpful and easy to follow along tutorial. As someone who doesn't have much Photoshop experience (nor design experience), I greatly appreciate you breaking everything down. 

For my project I first followed along and created the pattern as you showed. There wasn't much inspiration for colors and just choose colors that I felt went together the best.

Then, after finishing the initial pattern I decided to liquify the pattern and make small swirls that sort of reminded me of paisley which I ended up really liking.

To showcase my pattern I wanted to test it out and see how it would look if I used it for product branding. I came up with the fake coffee shop, Lorelei Coffee (yes, inspired by Gilmore Girls) and make put the pattern on a shopping bag and coffee cups.
