This was a great class, thank you Clair! It was my first time picking a limited palette and doing the swatches before painting. I definitely found some mixed colours that I really liked and wouldn't have known to make before doing this activity.

I used:

- Ultramarine Blue

- Phthalo Green

- Hookers Green

- Naphthol Red

- Naples Yellow Light, and

- Raw Sienna

I used a reference photo I took on a hike on One Tree Hill in the ACT. This was also my first time looking for various compositions in one photo, which I really enjoyed. It forced me to look beyond what I was seeing and make adjustments to make the painting more interesting.

I like that they're tied together by the colour palette and the subject, yet are still so different from each other.
